Raeann Bossarte
Park Interpreter I for California State Parks,
Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park.
After a short experience at parks on the North Coast, Bossarte moved to Chico (where my children and grandchildren live) to take an interpretive position with the California State Parks Northern Buttes District office in Oroville. Her experiences creating interpretive panels, brochures, exhibits and working on a variety of district projects including collection management helped her grow in the profession.
As the lead interpreter at Bidwell Mansion for the past five years, it has been the most rewarding experience in her park career. She works with wonderful, creative, and dedicated staff. Every day is different, challenging, and frequently joyful. Working in this very special park so deeply connected to the friendly city of Chico has been the culmination of many life, work, and educational experiences. Raeann feels blessed to have been given this opportunity.
