The 93rd General Conference

at the Royal Oak Hotel, San Luis Obispo, CA - October 4-5, 2024

The 93rd General Conference of the California County Planning Commissioners' Association will mark our first return to the "Central Coast" region since the 80th General Conference in 2010, which was held in Monterey County's community of Seaside.

The lineup of presenters at the Friday speaker sessions will include Melanie McCavour, Mike Washam, Ryan Campbell, John Salkowski, Jaron Brandon, Tim Byrd, and David Schmidt. Saturday's field trip will be highlighted by a visit to the Morro Bay Water Reclamation Center, as well as a presentation of the People's Self Help Housing program. We'll also stop at other points of local interest including the Morro Bay Museum of Natural History, and the Visitor Center in San Simeon, near Hearst Castle. The conference will conclude with our Saturday evening Gala Banquet, featuring keynote speaker

Conference registration is primarily for County Planning Commissioners, who constitute our membership, but we also welcome others to attend, including Planning Directors and staff, students, City Commissioners, and others with an interest in planning. You are also encouraged to bring a spouse or guest who may accompany you on the Saturday field trip as well as the reception and banquet.
