Friday's conference sessions covered the role of Agriculture in Tulare, California's natural history and water sources, present and future, the story of the preservation of Dry Creek, and overview of Cultural Preservation and AB-52 requirements.

See John Austin's California Natural History presentation here:  "Water in California -- The Past" (pdf)

Saturday's field trip visited the Dry Creek Preserve, a tour of the Terminus Dam and the nation's largest fuse gates hosted by the Army Corps of Engineers, the state-of-the-art Hilarides Dairy in Lindsay where methane from the cows is captured and utilized for electricity and truck fuel, and the redeveloped McDermont Field House providing a huge recreation and fitness center for the surrounding communities.

The CCPCA extends its gratitude to the County of Tulare, the Wyndham Visalia and our sponsors:  E & j Gallo Wineries, Reimer's Candies, Suncrest Bank, Brewbakers Brewing Co. and the Whitlatch Group.
