Melanie McCavour, Ph.D. is an Environmental Impact Assessment professional, University Lecturer, Planning Commissioner, researcher, and forest biologist with expertise in: impact assessment of housing, pipeline, and mining projects (Mexico, Belize, Canada, U.S..); urban transport projects such as the wildlife corridor of the eastern townships and the Turcot exchange of Montreal, Quebec (“Montreal at the Crossroads”, Black Rose Press); genetically engineered trees and crops (USDA APHIS EA, GE Eucalyptus); pollination ecology and pollinator protection; and forest soils, biodiversity and bioenergy.

 
Melanie has delivered many lectures and presentations on CEQA updates, and comparative EIA, and is currently working as the Tribal Historic Preservation Office Director at the Bear River Band of the Rohnerville Rancheria.
