The California County Planning Commissioners Association provides educational resources and events for planning commissioners, staff, elected officials and the general public. To effectively perform their duties, planning commissioners engage in a continual learning process. Assisting in that learning process, CCPCA focuses on California's current and future challenges in planning, land use and resource management.
Mission of CCPCA
The motto of the California County Planning Commissioners Association is "Knowledge Through Education." Our mission is to help educate and inform those who serve on county planning commissions throughout California. We also work with planning staff, elected officials, NGOs and the general public.
Every county planning commissioner throughout the state of California is a CCPCA member. Each California county is asked to submit a voluntary dues payment annually, which enables its commissioners' voting privileges within the organization. We are not an advocacy group, but rather, as our mission defines, we promote "Knowledge Through Education" and thereby help serve the interests of the people of California.
