Remembering Compton Gault

Compton James Gault Jr., 1944-2018
Compton Gault graduated from Oakland High School and spent thirty-eight years serving in the United States Army, acheiving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.  Subsequent to his military career he held a position with the Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District, and was appointed as a Planning Commissioner for the County of Alameda.  As a Commissioner he became involved in the CCPCA, contributing a great deal to our organization and was elected CCPCA President for the year 2004.  By 2007 he had retired and moved to Reno, Nevada with his wife and family, but he continued to be active with the CCPCA, assisting in the organization of our Conferences and conducting education sessions for New Commissioners in the Association.  Compton is fondly remembered for his always jovial, positive and caring attitude.  He passed away in Reno on February 16, 2018.

He is survived by his loving wife Janet; three children: Justeane, Shania and David; his sister, Lynn Lewis; several nieces and nephews; and his family in the Philippines.

Funeral Services held at the Northern Nevada Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, NV on March 2, 2018 at 11AM.
